- An informal effort by NRI volunteers for initiating
sustained, long term Tsunami relief and redevelopment

Several NRI students and young professionals have joined hands in
providing a forum for the long term re-development efforts in the
Tsunami hit areas of Southern India.

The devastation caused by the Tsunami saw an outpouring of relief
material and volunteers in the initial weeks of the disasters. Many
volunteer organizations and individuals worked endlessly to provide
relief and refuge to the millions effected.

This website was designed to provide information to the common man on
the extensive number of oragnizations tirelessly serving the tsunami
victims till date and also provide a forum where views, news and
future events of some of these organizationa will be presented.

With one month of the tragic disaster being completed on the Republic
day of India, today we humbly appeal to the different organizations to
come forward and help sustain this effort by posting their information
in this portal also.

This unified portal for information on relief efforts is being
launched with aim to consolidate information about different groups in
the long run and provide a long term strategy for support and
development.

We encourage you to please visit http://www.help4india.org with your
suggestions and support. Your small effort can make a big difference.
